Location: Raleigh, NC   The Sales Development Representative (SDR) is an Outside Sales Representative that focuses on outreach, prospecting, and lead qualification. SDRs focus on connecting with as many leads as possible and determining if they are a good customer that fits.   SDRs move leads through the sales pipeline. They connect and learn about their businesses and needs. If a prospect is a good fit, SDRs schedule next steps with the field sales and relationship team.   SDRs educate, answer questions, and send resources to potential customers. SDRs spend time in prospects businesses representing the Client brand and understanding the competitive market environment. SDRs are evaluated on the number of qualified leads they move through the pipeline and the activities that drive qualified leads.   Key Areas of Responsibility: Generate and qualify leads to build sales pipeline in the local market restaurant community by effective communication with prospects, clients and local sales team. Generate interest in Client's product suite with small and middle market restaurants through in person, phone, email and social media contact. Build and cultivate prospect relationships by initiating communications and conducting follow-up communications in conjunction with sales team to move opportunities through the sales funnel. Work closely with Sales Executive and Management teams to develop and grow the sales pipeline to consistently meet order and revenue goals. Identify qualified prospects, generate conversations, and set up meetings and demos via in person meetings, telephone or mass communication such as email and social media. Respond to inbound inquiries generated by website content and marketing campaigns. Compile prospect lists of target customers and geographies for Business Development by conducting online research to gather intelligence on accounts and prospective buyers. Prospect new accounts and engage with potential new customers including in person and phone cold calling, email campaigns (educational webinars invitations) and social selling (networking events, conferences, and site meetings). Conduct qualifying conversations with target prospects in a consultative approach to determine business needs, budget, and timeline. Support execution of Account Based Marketing campaigns as part of a cross-functional team. Manage data for new and prospective clients, ensuring all communications are logged, information is correct, and documents are attached - document execution of tactics (calls, check-ins, meetings) and results in Salesforce. Prepare and analyze sales pipeline reports and dashboards to present updates on activities and results at regular weekly, monthly and quarterly meetings.   BASIC QUALIFICATIONS 1+ years of hospitality industry experience either customer service (waitstaff, bartending) or outside (field) sales in any industry Strong prospecting skills including cold calling, email, social media, etc. Driven to succeed and goal oriented with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment A passion for building new business and relentless "can-do" attitude for carrying out required task and business visits Experience in, knowledge of, and passion for the hospitality industry Experience with the Microsoft Office software stack Strong in continued professional development with the ability to absorb training and adapt to coaching. Ability to adapt and learn new technology   PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 1+ year of experience in outside or inside sales Experience with Saleforce.com or comparable CRM tool Value Selling or similar methodology certification is preferred
