Forklift Operator
Cor Tech is now hiring a 1st shift EXPERIENCED Forklift Operator / Side Loader for our local Troy Ohio Exhaust Manufacturer!!!
- Side Loader experience is preferred!!!
- Starting pay $17.00 / hour
- This position will require outdoor driving during winter and summer!!!
- Must be ok with over time and double time as needed!!!
Description:
Responsible to pack material and/or operate forklift / train to move materials, supplies and finished goods to designated places in the facility or onto/off-of truck trailers.
Physical Requirements:
- Operate a side loading forklift
- Job involves lifting and carrying 35 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally, exerts 25 to 100 pounds of force occasionally and exerts 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects
- Requires pushing, pulling, reaching, standing, walking, gripping and bending as well as considerable twisting
- High mental and visual effort required
- Able and willing to work overtime when required up to 12 hours a day / 7 days a week
Safety / Hazards:
- Steel toed shoes required in production area at all times due to physical hazards from moving equipment, machine parts and product
- ANSI Z87.1 standard safety glasses required in production area due to dust, oils and debris
- Ear protection required in production area due to high noise levels from machines
- May be Exposed to flying objects such as weld slag and sparks
- May be exposed to weld fumes and dust
- Exposed to moderate burns, cuts and bruises
- Exposed to significant temperature changes in the facility (heat in the summer / cold in the winter)
Requires:
Drug screen & 7 year background check
Combi lift or Side Loader experience is preferred
