Job Title: Sr. API Architect (2 Openings) Location: Seattle, WA Duration: Fulltime Responsibilities: Guides development teams in the proper application of API policies and standards Assists development teams in solutioning and delivering APIs, with a particular emphasis on the Apigee platform Advises key decision makers on technology and process choices to ensure the safe delivery of effective APIs Designs solution and reference architectures for API delivery, with a particular focus on security Develops tools, processes, shared libraries, and architectures to ensure API best practices are followed Implements best practices for the Apigee platform, including federation techniques and shared flows In collaboration with a security architect, devises remediation's to common risks and threat patterns for APIs in the enterprise Creates standards for code auditing Oversees code audits executed by near-shore and off-shore teams Implements and reviews security-sensitive code, particularly in the Apigee platform Qualifications: BS in Computer Science or other Technology related discipline 10+ years of software development experience in a progressively responsible role 5+ years of solution architecture experience (or) 5+ years of security engineering experience, particularly in software security 1-3 years of supervisory experience 2+ years experience with Apigee proxy development Working knowledge of Java, Spring framework, Go, and JavaScript Expertise in CI/CD, SDLC, and DevOps processes and solutions Experience in API or distributed systems development Experience developing solution and reference architectures for enterprise-wide use Strong communicator, able to discuss software architecture with stakeholders at all levels (including product owners, developers, and business stakeholders) Comprehension of the importance of information security and how to integrate threat mitigations and models into software architectures Experience coordinating technical experts without direct supervisory responsibility Strong organizational and time management skills.
