Overview:

The General Laborer will work in a high-performance work organization on a cross functional team that utilizes the operator s ability to perform multiple tasks and work within a team environment.
Operators need to be cooperative and willing to apply their skills and rotate positions on a regular basis to make the team successful.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Door prep for priming and finishing
• Operate all equipment required for producing and installing louvers, raised molding, applied sticking and installation of glass, grills and mirror.
  
• Installation of custom-built parts such as louver, glass, sticking, and applied moldings utilizing Pin Guns, Brad-Nailer, Orbital Sanders, chisels and square corner tool.
  
• Hanging doors to be sprayed
• Preparing doors for shipping
• Work safely and follow safety rules and procedures
• Read, understand, and follow production schedules
• Process transactions
• Gather materials as needed
• Perform quality checks
• Assist Management, Maintenance and Quality personnel when troubleshooting equipment, process, or material issues
• Communicate effectively for flow of product through the mill
• Perform housekeeping duties
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned
• Wear appropriate personal protective equipment

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Work on a computer
• Use a Tape Measure, Caliper
• Use Hand and power tools
• Use Table Saw, Grinders
• Basic reading and writing skills
• Ability to add and subtract fractions and whole numbers, convert fractions to decimals
• Chemicals/adhesives

Physical Requirements:

• Lift 1-30lbs frequently (up to 50% in a 10-hour day)
• Lift 30-60 lbs regularly (up to 30% in a 10-hour day)
• Lift 60+ lbs occasionally (up to 25% in a 10-hour day)
• Push/Pull 100 lbs with assistance seldom (up to 13% in a 10-hour day)
• Kneel occasionally (up to 25% in a 10-hour day)
• Squat occasionally (up to 25% in a 10-hour day)
• Stoop frequently (up to 25% in a 10-hour day)
• Work with extended arms seldom (up to 13% in a 10-hour day)
• Stand in one spot for long periods

Education & Experience:

• A High School Diploma or GED certificate
