Position: General Maintenance Technician
Location: Battle Creek, MI 49015

Job Description:
- Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, General Maintenance is responsible for fixing equipment as needed, change overs, PM's and troubleshooting of equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Must be able to troubleshoot conditions in a production setting
- Ability and willingness to diagnose and repair the mechanical, hydraulic and electrical aspects of a wide variety of machines.
- Working knowledge of PLC's
- Perform quality checks
- Perform other duties as required
- Complete all required and applicable training required by client and its customers
Required Skills
Qualifications:
- Journeyman Card from the Department of Labor preferred. Degree or certification from a college or university is required if you do not possess a Journeyman's card.
- Previous experience working as a Millwright, Electrician or Machine repair in an automotive manufacturing environment.
- Experience working in an automotive sheet metal stamping facility
- Experience with large transfer and progressive dies a plus
- Able to lift 40 lbs. frequently depending upon rework
- Standing 8 or more hours, walking to assist in seat build, rework, etc...
- Ability to solve problems and work with support personnel
Required Education
- Education / Experience / Skills :5.1 High School Education or Equivalent (GED)
