ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work with all departments to meet or surpass the plant’s safety goals.
Safety – must be on a Safety Team either as a co-leader or participant.
Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures; follows Safety, Good Manufacturing Practices, and Dress Code policies.
Coordinate daily and weekly maintenance work on Filler and Arpac machines to ensure maximum equipment uptime.
Perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
Monitors Capri Sun Filler Carton Forming Machine (CFM); loads cartons, pouches into filler. Helps operator in clearing jams as well as breaking other utilities.
Monitors quality issues and performs spot checks on pouch code legibility and correctness, weights, glue temperatures, seal integrity, straws, anvil water pressure, inflation air pressure, and pouches. Notifies operator of any issues.
Communicates with Coordinator and Material Handler to ensure adequate quantities of correct packaging materials are on the line.
Maintains good housekeeping, and performs Mini cleans, CIP’s and hot flushes.
Provides input toward team development and participates in Green Room process improvement meetings.
Help other utilities on other fillers if they get behind or if you have time; change trash bag and clean area before next shift, and/or as needed; operates pallet jack and stretch wrap.
Performs duties in Arpac area such as but not limited to audits, rework, changing of film and stickers as required.
Performs other duties as may be assigned.
This position also has accountability for QRMP standards as outlined in the Winchester Client QRMP accountability document.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: Understand and follow company and site policies and procedures on Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's), Hold Tags, HACCP, USDA, Foreign Objects, Safety and Security.
WORKING CONDITIONS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; outside weather conditions; extreme cold; risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Personal Protective Equipment; while performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to wear appropriate company-issued safety and GMP equipment, including: steel toe shoes that are also slip resistant, hearing protection, bump cap, and other personal protective equipment.
