Imports Associate - CAOR - SSGV
Do you have a high school education/GED and some experience in logistics and transportation?

Are you looking for a change and more income?

Apply your experience to earn up to $23.00 an hour plus Paid Overtime with generous benefits including free 1-on-1 tutoring for all children and dependents working for our world-class distribution company with nearly 50 years in the business!

WHAT WE'LL DO FOR YOU
  • $20 - $23/hour Plus Paid Overtime!

WHAT YOU'LL DO
Here's the technical stuff but it's worth a read as this will be your daily to-do list.
  • Dispatch for various locations
  • Run daily report to check on incoming container status
  • Send work order to trucking company-
  • Communicate with Broker, Customs and exam facility for any custom hold
  • Maintain constant communications via telephone and email
  • Coordinate with receiving warehouse and trucking company on deliveries

WHERE & WHEN YOU'LL DO IT
  • Sunny Orange, California
  • First Shift 8 am to 5 pm
  • Monday thru Friday
  • Saturday when needed

SKILLS WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Some experience in transportation and logistics (minimum 3-5 years of experience in International Logistics of Ocean Import shipment related)
  • Ability to communicate with shipping lines, US Customs, Port's Terminals, Trucking
    Companies and Freight Forwarders
  • Able to analyze data related to costs and offer better options
  • Knowledge or exposure of dealing with carrier contracts, as well as handling all surcharges such as bunker, low sulfur, and more
  • Experience with computer software with the ability to navigate in a multi-window based environment
  • Experience with MS Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Minimum High School Education/GED
