Position Overview
The Industrial Engineer will oversee and improve production processes at the Large Drives factory in New Kensington, Pa. The successful candidate will support production with safe, lean, and reliable manufacturing solutions and improvements. Engineering aptitude, high attention to detail, and the ability to optimize production processes for maximum efficiency are necessary skills for this role.
Responsibilities
Develops manufacturing processes by studying product requirements, researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment. Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
A Degree in Industrial Engineering or related field or Equivalent Experience. Candidate can be actively pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, or other relevant Engineering discipline.
Experience with Time studies - Conducts time and motions studies and derives time standards for production calculations.
Experience with Bill of Material and process routing maintenance - Reviews bills of materials to develop and ensure material presentation and efficient organized layout.
Experience with layout work (equipment and workstation) - Creates and documents factory workstation/cell layouts.
Ability to perform cost analysis and reduction - Evaluates labor hours and opportunities for improvement where labor standards prove inefficient.
Experience with process evaluation and improvement - Understands and evaluated current processes to ensure standard work procedures (Operation Method Sheets) are developed and maintained.
Creative problem-solving skills.
Strong organizational skills.
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
Proficient use of Microsoft Office Tools, with a special emphasis on Excel.
Highly hands-on and strong mechanical aptitude needed.

1 year of experience in Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering preferred
SAP experience preferred but not required
Experience utilizing problem solving tools & quality assurance methodologies including Plan-Do-Check-Act (A3), 8D, Kaizen, Lean Cell Design, Error-Proofing, Failure Mode Effects Analysis, 5-Why, Ishikawa, etc.
Experience with CAD software.
1 year of experience in Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering preferred
