Inventory Control Clerk - Food Manufacturing Plant in Torrance Apply
Primary Job Functions:
Under the direction of the inventory Control Supervisor, the Inventory Clerk is responsible for maintaining a high level of inventory accuracy and integrity within the facility. The Inventory Control Clerk monitors, investigates and corrects inventory levels and product movement between the warehouse department and Production.
Essential Job Functions
• Monitors and controls inventory integrity.
• Monitors Bin Transfers in the system.
• Researches inventory discrepancies and notifying appropriate department.
• Responsible for reporting downtime of the Make Up lines in the Access Data Base.
• Compares production and warehouse paperwork against the system to reconcile any discrepancies
• Assist with physical inventories, cycle counts, and reconciliations.
• Assists warehouse staff and production staff on the floor with technical and /or transfer issues.
• Tracks, and reporting non-conforming product.
• Resolves inventory problems in a timely manner.
Food Safety Responsibilities
• All employees are required to immediately report and assist in the elimination or control of any food safety issues they observe to their supervisor.
• Monitors and enforces GMPs.
• Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices and Pre-requisite programs.
Job Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
• Education: High school diploma, equivalent or higher
• Experience: 1 to 3 years preferred.
• Candidates should have good communication skills, written and oral. English and Spanish.
Must be able to drive forklift. No certification required. Certification done on-site.
Job entails 80% of floor duties and 20% of computer use.
