JOB DESCRIPTION :

The Logistics and Shipping Coordinator is responsible for preparing all shipping documents necessary to fulfill customer contracts and coordinate shipments to move in an accurate, cost effective and timely manner. In addition, this position is responsible for coordinating the functions of Warehouse/Assembly and Mold Injection employees ensuring efficiency and effectiveness with shipping, receiving, inventory control, ordering and issuing materials and supplies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide products, mold repair and freight quotes to customers when required to determine what best fits company and customer needs.
  • Prepare routine shipments which including utilize Web EDI.
  • Coordinate and support logistics to ensure capacity of shipments and transport.
  • Coordinate changes in the shipment with Warehouse Lead. Identify and notify Warehouse and Account Supervisor of workload status and potential problem areas.
  • Prepare all necessary shipping documentation for products being shipped to customers once sales order has been processed and/or information received from Sales Development.
  • Communicate with freight forwarders to receive and release shipping documentation, schedule delivery and pick up times, and track receiving and delivery of shipment.
  • Input goods receipts and deliveries and creates APR and AR invoice in SAP, collects and files Incoming and Outgoing Bill of Ladings upon shipment completion.
  • Other duties as assigned.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

  • SAP/AS 400 and/or other ERP system
  • Bilingual in English and Japanese MUST
  • Spanish language skills preferred
  • Multi-tasking and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Forklift certified or willing to obtain certification preferred

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS SUMMARY:

The position typically works in an office environment, along with production facility that includes heat and humidity. The noise level in the work environment is typical of that of an office, while noise level in production facility may be loud at times. Incumbent may encounter frequent interruptions throughout the workday. The employee is regularly required to sit, talk, or hear; frequently required to use repetitive hand motion, handle or feel, and to stand, walk, reach, bend, or lift up to 20 pounds.

Salary: $18-$19 / hr
