JOB DESCRIPTION:

 Junior Accountants are responsible for executing a variety of financial procedures, including month-end and year-end closings, accounts payable and receivable, tax returns, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries. Junior Accountants also maintain relationships with the customers and vendors. Junior Accountants are expected to supply accurate financial data to the management team to ensure business effectiveness. Position Duties:

  • Assist with the preparation of financial statements
  • Analyze and reconcile bank statements and general ledgers
  • Post journal entries for accrued expenses and revenue
  • Maintain and record fixed assets
  • Prepare and file local tax and compliance reporting as necessary
  • Act as a liaison for vendors to reconcile any billing discrepancies
  • Have a full functional understanding of both accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger
  • Managing payroll process for the organization, including all related ledger entries
  • Make recommendations with regards to customer and supplier accounts

Position Requirements:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent education and experience
  • One to three years of related experience preferred
  • Hands-on experience working with general ledgers
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Proficient with ERP and Microsoft Office systems
  • Able to multitask and prioritize work effectively
  • Exceptional internal and external customer service
