JOB TITLE: Laboratory Technician I7:30 am to 4 pmTemp only position at this timeOnsite positionEducation an experience:BS in Biology or related disciplineMinimum 1 year experience in a GMP or GLP environmentJob Summary: The Laboratory Technician I will support the R&D group including but not limited to Systems Engineering, Reagent Development , Genomics and select Hardware Engineering laboratories by providing general laboratory support. Exercises good judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for performing laboratory maintenance for multiple laboratories following good laboratory procedures including operation of a clean and efficient laboratory, documenting all work, such as, but not limited to: 1. Change refrigerator chart recorder paper 2. Monitor temperature of small refrigerators and freezers 3. Empty laboratory recycle bins 4. Organize and stock lab supplies within the labs and stockrooms 5. Biohazard waste maintenance 6. Maintains glassware by pick-ups, cleaning, washing and distributing 7. Performs DI water daily flushes 8. Monitoring the stock level of Sheath and Shutdown solutions 9. Responsible for delivery, set-up, and pickup of lab equipment, lab materials and office supplies 10. Performs other related duties and assignments as required Knowledge and Skills: Ability to perform detail-oriented work with a high degree of accuracy Ability to communicate clearly, including effective oral and written communication skills Effective multitasking capabilities Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Powerpoint Demonstrated ability to keep neat, accurate and complete records and logs Medium work of lifting and/or pushing up to 30- 45 pounds Familiar with general GMP/GLP procedures with a strong focus on quality Education and experience: BS in Biology or related discipline Minimum 1 year experience in a GMP or GLP environment Candidate will be walking, lifting some up to 15 lbs, going from lab to lab that may be upstairs. Looking for a candidate that is familiar with lab equipment. Position may be repetitive at times, must be organized. will be interacting with others. Experience in a lab highly preferred, More of a glorified housekeeping type position, getting supplies needed. BD04123JD
