Laboratory Technician 4 ~ vaccination required
In this role in Technical Operations, you will be performing investigations and technical studies to resolve scientific problems associated with the formulation and testing of ELISA-based lab diagnostics assays.
Your responsibilities as a Lab Technician 4 will be:
Design your own experiments to investigate technical issues related to the formulation and QC testing of immunoassay reagents and components
Effectively communicate your data in the form of written reports and orally with other departments such as Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Engineering, Manufacturing, and R&D.
Lab work:
o Operate the Atellica IM, ADVIA Centaur, and ADVIA CP, and other instruments
o Follow SOPs to formulate assay components (such as buffer, reagent, and calibration and/or quality control materials)
o Follow SOPs to perform functional testing of immunoassays in accordance with CLSI guidelines
o Perform general lab duties such as instrument calibration, stocking supplies, etc. as needed
Handle of all types of materials, including hazardous and DEA (Drug Enforcement Agency) controlled materials
To succeed in this role, you must have:
A passion for healthcare, to improve patient outcome, and drive manufacturing excellence
BS in Medical Technology, Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or other related fields, with 2 years of relevant experience, OR
Associate degree with 2-4 years of relevant experience
Demonstrated ability to think critically and thrive on challenges
Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience include:
Working knowledge of immunodiagnostic technologies
Experience with GLP and GMP environment highly preferred
