Laser Operator #2 - 2ND Shift Apply
**Must have Blueprint experience as this is a mid-level (#2) position and not entry level.
2ND Shift: MONDAY-THURSDAY 2:30PM 1AM with mandatory OT that can extend the M-F work hours up to 10 hours and also requires every other Saturday as needed to meet production needs.
JOB SUMMARY:
Perform production work on the laser loading and unloading parts and basic inspection to insure the quality of the parts. Will work directly under Laser Operator #1 (Or a Lead person). Will have the opportunity to acquire the skills necessary to advance to Laser Operator #1 classification.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
*Read and understand blue prints and routings and produce parts from the information obtained from them to the required tolerances.
Responsible for the quality of the parts produced and perform first piece verification inspection and subsequent inspections to ensure overall quality.
Follow all rules regarding machine operation and machine guarding.
Responsible for laser scale/burr removal on low quantity parts.
Take care of routine maintenance and keep the work area clean and neat.
Maintain simple reports on productivity, quality and safety.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Possess and be able to use machinst squares, dial calipers, and other inspection equipment to ensure the quality of the parts being produced. Must be equipped with all the required tools to perform the functions of their job.
Physical ability to do work requiring frequent standing and bending, as well as pushing, pulling and lifting up to 30 lbs. frequently.
Sufficient reading and writing ability to follow work order instructions and prepare simple production reports.
Sufficient visual acuity (corrected) to read instructions, operate machines and inspect parts.
Sufficient manual dexterity to operate the equipment properly.
