JOB DESCRIPTION :
Lead Data Center Technician needed for a 3+ year contract position win Sunnyvale, CA!

• Manage Managed Services teams (Client lead technicians and technicians)
• Analyze Client’s needs and work closely with organization to deliver best services
• Set clear objectives, evaluate progress and instill a high performance culture with focus on team work, service excellence and ownership for resolving customer issues
• Technically develop both the people and processes within the team to react to the challenges and to the changing nature of the business
• Recruit, interview, hire, training, evaluate, mentor and manage staff (Client MS positions only)
• Maintain open line of communication with Managed Services vendors
o Employee performances
o Client expectations and level of satisfaction
o Fluctuations in workload
o Upcoming needs and projects
o Issues/Challenges
• Attend all meetings pertaining to projects involving DCIS
• Project Manage/coordinate projects and DCIS department projects
• Manage all DCIS teams in North America
• Manage DCIS ques globally
• Manage and coordinate meetings with teams and Vendors
• Manage and coordinate remote offices/colo space/server room buildouts
• Manage Access to colo spaces
• Manage and coordinate Hard Drive destruction
• Generate/Update Documentation (SOP, processes, config, etc.)
• Train/mentor Client and MS teams on DCIS SOW and SOPs
• Assist with risk management
• Physical Asset management
• Assist other IT team with planning, troubleshooting, and coordination
• Generate high level reports for upper management
• Team oversight
• Process Analysis and Best Practices
• Metrics reporting
• Billing coordination for out of scope services (overtime, projects requiring extra personnel, etc.)
• Day to day communication with Client IT Management
• 20% travel. Travel to other data center sites to oversee processes and projects

Minimum Requirements
• At least 5+ years’ experience in related field
• Strong data center products and solutions knowledge
• Superior technical skills and aptitude; passion for continuous learning
• Excellent management and communication skills – verbal and written
• Good team player who can work with people of all levels / backgrounds
• Professional demeanor, excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Self-motivated and analytical thinker; sees solutions rather than obstacles
• Experience running meetings, reporting, and project management
• Ability to lead, organize and execute with little or no direction, deliver commitments on time and within budget, and to work in a team within a fast pace environment
• Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Successful completion of drug and background screening tests required
