Lead Electrical Technician
PayRate: $35.00/HR

CorTech is looking to hire a Lead Electrical Technician in Bedford, MA.


The Lead Electronic Technician will help the team focus on production priorities, help in material forecasting, and perform electrical/mechanical testing of electrical systems. Standard manufacturing includes diagnosing and testing/troubleshooting systems and helping to perform modifications based on their findings. He or she will also work with our ERP system to make sure materials transactions within the company are occurring correctly and accurately.

Amptek is a world leader in the design, development, manufacture, and sale of radiation detection components used in X-ray and gamma-ray detection. These are used primarily in X-ray spectroscopy, for analytical chemistry in laboratory and portable applications, and in nuclear and space research.

Primary Responsibilities & Duties:
• Works hand-on within our ERP system to handle transactions and material movement
• Responsible for distributing work and making sure all jobs are completed on time by the team
• Tests, troubleshoots, and repairs production electronic components, parts, equipment, and systems
• Utilizes various types of electronic testing equipment
• Quality Control – ensures all outgoing product meets specifications (and product outside of specifications is rejected/dispositioned)
• Helps in our documentation of our test processes of electronic equipment
• Adheres to production schedule and expedites units based on scheduled ship dates


Education and Qualifications:
• Associate degree or the equivalent in a related technical discipline
• 4+ years of experience in a manufacturing and troubleshooting environment
• IT Training is a plus
• Exposed to LEAN techniques is a plus.


Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
• Contemporary PC knowledge, Microsoft Office etc.
• Ability to manage and juggle various priorities
• Displays adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced workplace
• Considers the impact to quality when making decisions
• Communicates openly and effectively in a professional manner
• Detail oriented
