Job Summary
o Supervises dedicated team in efficient, effective preventive and corrective building maintenance activities at assigned locations.
o This includes company offices, garages, and compressor stations.
o Performs facility services and facility-related improvement and renovation projects.
o Coordinates and performs employee group moves and office reconfigurations to support group business needs.
o Offers support during acquisition, disposition, and leasing company real estate, including offices, warehouses, raw land and property across MountainWest (MW).
o Maintains effective communications and relationships with facility customers.
o Leads employees and contractors, stressing excellent customer service and performing all phases of improvements, repairs, and renovations satisfactorily.
o Provides employee development, training, and performance feedback.
o Serves as first responder to facilities-related requests and emergencies, for assigned locations.
Supervises daily activities associated with one or more of the following:
o Administrative support, printing, invoice payments, mail operations, and/or records management.
o Schedules and monitors workflow and assignments, ensuring coverage.
o Supervises printing, duplicating, and forms design.
o Purchases supplies.
o Meets with customers to provide service or resolve problems.
o Oversees development and maintenance of procedures and processes for administrative functions.
o Assists in overseeing contracts, to ensure vendor compliance.
o Assists in development of annual business plan and budget. Interacts with external representatives to ensure expeditious service for all functional areas.
o Interfaces with general services personnel to ensure efficiencies.
o Oversees employee development and cross-training opportunities.
o May ensure records retention and destruction methods are compliant and meet audit guidelines.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
o 6+ years of directly-related experience in facility maintenance and operations, including managing projects, buildings, and teams.
o Working knowledge of administrative support functions, printing, mail operations, and/or records management.
o Detailed, technical knowledge of facility operations, systems, equipment, including technical and business vocabulary.
o Knowledge of facility-related local laws, state laws, federal laws, codes, and permit requirements.
o Knowledge of company operations, organizational procedures, and policies.
o Proficiency in personal computer skills using spreadsheet, database, word processing applications, and SAP.
o Good planning, organizational, budgeting, and project management skills.
o Strong team-building, interpersonal, and customer service relations skills.
o Strong verbal and written communication skills.
o Ability to manage multiple facilities over a large geographic area. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Education Requirements
o Education Level: Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education: Associates degree
Licenses, Certifications, or Quals Description
o Technical certifications in either HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc. preferred.
