Lead Research & Development Technician Apply
Shift: Days only M-F,
This is an analytical laboratory job and requires knowledgeable chemists. They will work with hazardous chemicals, but the idea is to not have “exposure” to them. We have a clean safe laboratory environment with many levels of controls in place.
The person should have a bachelor's degree in chemistry or similar experience. Highly desired is experience with ICP (inductively coupled plasma spectroscopy), electrochemistry techniques such as titrations, organic physical analysis of fuels such as cold flow properties and viscosity, combustion analysis for heteroatoms such as sulfur, nitrogen, and oxygen.
Participates in research and development activities. Utilizes established mathematical and scientific techniques to compile and analyze data. Writes technical reports detailing procedures, outcomes, and observations. Requires a graduate degree in area of specialty and 2+ years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.
