Job Description:
Lifecycle Desktop Support Technician -- This is a 6 - 12 months Contract-To-Hire (CTH) role.
This is a 1099 Independent Contractor role with no benefits. Compensation is $31/hour. Location is onsite at the client's location in Orange CT. If you agree to these terms, please proceed with your application. Becomes Contract-To-Hire after 6-12 months.
This role if for someone with prior Lifecycle desktop support experience (Hardware Replacement, Windows Upgrades, PC Refresh, etc.) with experience supporting WIN7 / WIN10.
Qualifications:
- Key skills: Windows 7/10, Office 2013/O365, mobile device management.
- Prior experience with desktop imaging is required
- Hardware would range from desktops/laptops/workstations/ thin clients.
- Knowledge of ticketing platforms is key and knowledge of ITIL fundamentals is a plus.
- Prior experience Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting WIN7/10 desktops & laptops
- Excellent Customer Service skills
- Can manage small project teams
- Ability to build rapport with clients
- Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
- Positive and professional demeanor
- Has 3-5 years of experience
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical assistance with computer hardware and software
- Resolve issues for clients via phone, in person, or electronically
- Recommend hardware and software improvements
- Track customer issues and resolutions
- Accurately testing, identifying, repairing, resolving, and documenting end user technical issues regarding basic network/desktop/laptop support, Printers, iPhone, and LAN cable drops.
- Swap-Out and troubleshoot software issues.
- Reimaging computers/hard drives
- IMACD function including installation and decommission
- Backing up and restoring user data
