JOB DESCRIPTION:

This position is a combination Maintenance/Operator position. This job will focus on 24 hour/7-day coverage for effective factoryoperations while implementing the Factory’s preventative and corrective maintenance program. Successful candidates will be self-motivated, and under the direction of production and maintenance supervision to safely operate and maintain (mechanically andelectrically) equipment in their assigned area to produce quality product right the first time. This person will perform sanitation and housekeeping duties as well as train line associates on assigned equipment. Line Technician will be required to operateequipment.The Line Technician should be the initiator of activities to ensure our customers are getting high quality products in an efficientmanner, and should facilitate use of the team approach to seek Continuous Improvement and implement ideas. The LineTechnician should be familiar with all equipment to the point that he/she can adjust and repairs during its operation.The Line Technician reinforces Safety, Quality and Teamwork as a Business Imperative.Technical• Setup, Start-Up, Adjust and Operation of Equipment; Proper Shutdown, Sanitation & Changeover as required to KraftHeinz standards and to minimize downtime• Installs, maintains, dissembles, refits, repairs and/or rebuilds electrical/mechanical equipment and/or machines, undersupervision, to ensure production goals are met (may include automatic and process controls, HMI, relays, electroniccontrols, printers, scales, fuses, wiring defects, control modules, and alarm systems).• Read wiring diagrams, blueprints, and schematics and follows directions from manuals and applies PLC ladder logic insolving problems.• Perform all required quality testing/checks and complete all required documentation and paperwork for departmentoperations: Quality (Quality Suites), Sanitation, Safety, etc.• With E Team assistance; troubleshoot basic electrical equipment, maintain, and improve electrical control systems, andcomplete work orders• Communicate and coordinate with Maintenance/Production Leadership, any corrective maintenance required on assignedequipment to ensure optimum line efficiency and product quality• Utilizing Maintenance Windows; perform preventive maintenance inspections on all focus line equipment as assigned bythe Maintenance Department to prevent and/or correct mechanical or electrical breakdowns. Participate in thedevelopment of a documented 52-week maintenance plan• Develop and implement improvements using the Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) process to prevent reoccurringequipment failures• Utilize the CMMS system to document Maintenance activities, order parts, and develop work orders• Recording and documentation as required by manual, computer, and other systems. Ensures documentation is accuratelycompleted using QCMS (CMMS / SAP) guidelines• Manage all supplies associated with the lines following up on excessive loss whether vendor or mechanically driven.Ensure supplies are accounted for and returned in a timely mannerLeadership• Recommend and implement continuous improvement on equipment and system design through use of the team concept.Support project planning and execution• Communicate with other line technicians on other shifts, as necessary, to ensure coordination of all maintenance effortson assigned equipment and effectively operate as part of a team• Support implementation of department SQCDM ideas/suggestions• Maintain a good working relationship with all equipment operators on all shifts• Conduct training for other associates in area of responsibility• Manage spare parts and standby equipment for assigned equipment• Conform to Kraft Heinz’s policy and procedures including, but not limited to: Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s),Lock Out/Tag Out, HACCP check points, Kraft Quality Standards, Fall Protection, Hot Work, OSHA Regulations, and allothers• Report and correct unsafe acts and conditions• Determine product sequencing to minimize changeover time• Perform sanitation and reassembly so that it meets Kraft Heinz Standards and minimizes downtime• Work with vendors as necessary• Perform other duties as designated by the teamReporting/Recordkeeping1. Ensures daily, weekly, and monthly records systems to support both production and maintenance in preventivemaintenance, work orders and systems are properly updated and maintained.QUALIFICATIONS:• Person must be able to perform and train self/others on basic mechanical skills, mechanical repairs, and overhauls,maintenance systems, computer skills, new technologies in preventive/predictive maintenance, problemsolving/troubleshooting, etc. where skills are not at the required level• Minimum of two years of experience in industrial maintenance• Must be able to maintain and operate all equipment in assigned area• Demonstrate successful application of problem-solving techniques, effective communication, and planning• Must be Powered Industrial Truck licensed and follow all safety rules and procedures• Must be willing to travel as required• All other duties as assigned to support efficient plant operationsKNOWLEDGE / SKILL / EXPERIENCE LEVELSThe Line Technician must possess knowledge of and understand the following:• Rebuilding, repairing, and/or replacement of electricalequipment, parts, fuses, wiring, and machines, HMI,relays, electronic controls, printers, scales, and alarmsystems.• Process for conducting periodic preventativemaintenance to include electrical and mechanicalinspections, disassembly/reassembly of subsystems,proper lubrication, and testing.• Work order procedures and concepts.• Wiring diagrams, blueprints, schematics, and manuals.• PLC ladder logic.• Mig/Tig/Arc/Braze welding, and soldering.• Parts and supplies to support assigned areas and shifts.• Daily, weekly, and monthly records and work ordersystems.• Policies and procedures for taking and logging partsfrom MRO.• Policies and procedures for submitting anddocumenting parts requests.• Policies and procedures for documenting equipmentfailure/repair analysis, work order information, andparts information on CMMS and appropriate forms.• Plant’s safety guidelines, policies, procedures, etc.• Environmental regulations, Good ManufacturingPractices (GMPs), and Maintenance Food SafetyProgram.• Continuous improvement processes and Playbook.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:• Able to walk, stand and sit for the duration of a 12-hour shift• Performs bending, squatting, kneeling, sorting, and reaching to both ground level and overhead• Ascend/Descend stairs and ladders throughout shift• Lift to up to 50 pounds independently, and heavier weights with assistance• Holds and grips objects• Able to give and understand instructions and hold conversations in manufacturing environment, as well as an office orclassroom setting• Must possess manual dexterity necessary to operate equipment, disassemble and reassemble equipment, operate acomputer and other standard office equipmentWORKING ENVIRONMENT:Indoors working in ambient temperature, with potential exposure to product related dust/powder/smoke.
