Job Title: Logistics Analyst

Location: Oak Creek, WI

Duration: 6 -12 months (with possible extension thereafter) (8:00am-4:30pm)

Description:

Major responsibilities:

  • Manages logistics activities for selected projects to support World Class Logistical Initiatives. This includes logistics planning, Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) system training of hourly and salaried employees, logistical supply chain activities from the point of manufacturing through deployment, internal transportation and material flow, warehousing activities, order fulfillment management for Customer Orders, MinePro Transport Orders, and OEM Production Orders.
  • Manages the Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) system to most effectively utilize the software across Milwaukee area warehouses, receiving docks, and transportation to support World Class objectives. This includes the management of Control Cycles for all warehouses and delivery areas, releasing work, moving work to RF queues, maintaining and developing storage types, and analyzing reports.
  • Enhances product workflow by analyzing and developing logistics plans that affect production, distribution, and inventory. Creates and reviews procedures for distribution and inventory management to maximize customer satisfaction and minimize cost.
  • Identifies logistics issues and participates in developing solutions such as re-allocation of resources, modifying processes, and analysis of data to support improvements. Documents logistics-related findings, communicates results to staff and management and makes presentations related to logistics management.
  • Ensure continuous improvement of the logistics processes to include lean and QRM initiatives and techniques.
  • Hours for the position will be 8:00 am-4:30pm and will be working in a Warehouse setting, PPE (hard hat, steel toe boots, safety glasses etc required). This position will be primarily based in Oak Creek (MDC), however, there may be a need to have them go to Client's National Ave location for support. They're expecting this to happen no more than 20%.

    Required education: Bachelors Degree in Operations/Logistics. Preferred ISM specific is a plus, APOCS Certification and/or WERC membership a plus but not required.
