Position Purpose:

Responsibilities and activities include planning outbound and inbound transportation, track, and trace shipments for on-time performance, leveraging transportation technology tools to improve load visibility, and facilitate internal conversations with team regarding service and carrier performance metrics.

The Logistics Coordinator role will offer you the opportunity to learn about the industry by providing you formal and informal training, give you the ability to work with many cross-functional teams, and identify efficiencies that will create a win/win situation for your career development and for the department.

Responsibilities:

• Manage transportation events and enhance carrier utilization to ensure on-time deliveries and customer satisfaction
• Understanding freight bill payments and assisting Accounts Payable in resolution and corrective action
• Coordinate, direct and own decision-making processes necessary to accomplish service goals and objectives
• Strategically develop, recommend, and implement cost savings and/or service improvement programs
• Create and foster strong relationships with internal and external business partners such as material resource planners, purchasing, distribution centers, manufacturing personnel, customer service representatives and carrier providers
• Ensure that issues are addressed quickly and professionally
• Identify and implement continuous process improvements by strategically developing and recommending cost savings and/or service improvement programs
• Ensure that issues are addressed quickly and professionally

Qualifications:

• Ability to multi-task in high pace environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Adaptability and flexibility
• Experience with TMS systems is a plus
• Detail oriented and highly organized
• Preferred Experience:
o Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Outlook, Word)
o NetSuite ERP
o OTM (a plus)
o DAT
o PowerBI

o System knowledge
