CorTech is hiring for Machine Operators / Assembly our client in Columbus, IN. Our Client is A WORLD LEADER in the automotive supply industry that is seeking long-term, career-minded individuals to join the team! If you have a solid work history, positive attitude, and strong work ethic you can be considered for this opportunity! No Manufacturing experience? No problem!

SHIFTS
B Shift Wed-Sat 5p-5a
C Shift Fri-Sat 5a-5p, Mon/Tues 5p-5a
2nd shift Mon-Fri 5p-5a
8 hour shifts also available

The pay rate starts out at $16.05-16.50

As a Machine Operator / Assembly, your daily responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

Produce parts by loading and positioning component(s) into the fixture(s) using methods/equipment defined in operator work instructions and standardized work instructions

Perform detailed (final gauge, bend gauge, handheld gauges, etc.) dimensional inspection when necessary to determine the quality of the product.

Keep count of completed products on each run

Record and dispose of the defective product in the designated manner (red bins)

Self-inspect parts visually for obvious defects or as specified by work instructions

Check all safety controls for proper operation at the start of the shift

Notify GAP Leader and/or Supervisor when defects exceed acceptable limits or when major equipment malfunctions occur

Pack parts into the designated container and record information in line with QS9000 labeling and/or packing instructions

Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with company policy

Adhere to all work rules and procedures

Clean / paint equipment, clean / seal floors, paint lines around equipment when the line is down or when assigned

Actively participate in work teams

Move materials/supplies / finished goods to designated places in the facility manually or by hand truck

Implement at least two improvement ideas per month
