Qualifications:
\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\" Knowledge of coated abrasive products, processes and systems Knowledge of multiple machine operations/job procedures able to work all shifts as required by supervision ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a non-repetitive Ability to read and interpret Blueprints a plus Math Skills Physically able to stand, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, twist, lift, push, pull, climb, balance, crouch, handle and move items weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance. Visual acuity corrected to perform job functions. Ability to distinguish color to perform job functions Ability to move throughout all areas of the plant floor, receiving, and outside perimeter of the facility Able to wear all necessary personal protective equipment to perform job functions Stand and/or sit continuously and perform job functions for a full shift with meal break. Responsibilities:
\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"Assist Operators in the Laid Scrim department to assure productive and efficient operations on the Laid Scrim production line. Sets up and operates machine. The incumbent is responsible for the productive and efficient of production equipment. Must satisfactorily complete associated training programs. Position offered is on a temp-to-hire basis. Must possess a thorough understanding of the operation of the relevant machinery and its complexities, as well as knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods. Responsible for the set-up and operation of textile machines that perform textile processing and manufacturing operations such as winding, twisting, taping, slitting, bonding, coating and/or stretching. The incumbent is cross-trained on all applicable equipment and must be flexible in working varied assignments. Notifies Supervisor(s) or repair staff of mechanical malfunctions. Starts machines, monitors operations and makes adjustments as needed. Inspects products to ensure that specifications are met and to determine if machines need adjustment. Observes material to detect defects. Inspects machinery to determine if repairs are needed. Records information about work completed and machine settings. Changes products based on production scheduling, while maintaining the highest quality standards. Maintains a properly cleaned area in and around each applicable machine. Logs all pertinent information and data. Works in a manner that is safe while continuously ensuring quality, production and performance expectations are met. Performs audit programs, cleaning, painting and applicable 5S maintenance and support of manufacturing programs. Responsible for performing assigned duties until properly relieved. Position is Monday-Friday from 3pm-11:30pm. Pay rate is $17.50/hour
