Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
• Set-up and operate vertical milling machines and/or horizontal milling machines
• Set up and run conventional milling machine
• Machine detail parts and final assemblies from engineering drawings and method sheets using fixtures and drill jigs
• Work to close tolerances ( +/- .005 )
• Other duties may be assigned
Qualifications
Education and/or Experience
• High school diploma
• Minimum 5 years as a conventional machinist
Language Skills
• Must be conversant in and read, write and understand English.
Other Skills and Abilities
• First piece inspection
• Ability to read blueprints and method sheets for setups
Equipment Used
• Milling Machine (Bridgeports)
• Lathe
• Drill Press
• Surface grinder
• Table band saw
