<p><strong>POSITION SUMMARY:</strong><br /> With minimum guidance in a team environment, responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks of complex scope and nature in one or more of the following areas: plumbing, carpentry, painting, air conditioning, equipment, production, and N/C machinery.<br /> <br /> <strong>RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong><br /> Responsibilities may include some or all of the following:<br /> Remove, repair or relocate machine parts; install air & water lines; align and adjust machines for production operation.<br /> Diagnose defects and perform repair and preventive maintenance to various types of hydraulic equipment, machine tools, building plumbing and related equipment.<br /> Construct, install, maintain, repair and overhaul test stands, fixtures and related hydraulic equipment.<br /> Setup and operate arc and acetylene welding equipment.<br /> Perform high pressure tubing and hose fabrication for hydraulic and pneumatic application and contamination control.<br /> Plan, layout and construct additions, partitions, benches, shipping boxes and other carpentry.<br /> Assist in planning sequence of operations and methods to be used in overhaul and repair.<br /> Check and calibrate new or rebuilt equipment after installation.<br /> Identify and repair numerical controlled machine malfunctions.<br /> Troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, hydraulic and mechanical operations for proper operation.<br /> Use precision test equipment.<br /> May work with computers and computer software to create and operate programs, reports, and spreadsheets.<br /> As a specialized hazardous material technician, may:<br /> Coordinate purchase, inventory delivery and pickup of hazardous material and maintain current inventory of on‐ site chemicals.<br /> Advise and assist in clean‐up of chemical spills.<br /> Coordinate packaging, labeling, storing, and scheduling pickup of hazardous waste for offsite disposal.<br /> Maintain accurate records of all hazardous waste shipped offsite.<br /> Initiate compliance inspections.<br /> Provide technical assistance on hazardous materials compliance and safe practices.<br /> Perform other related responsibilities.<br /> <br /> <strong>Job Requirements:</strong><br /> Five years related maintenance experience or demonstrated ability to perform described<br /> responsibilities.<br /> May require proficiency with pump and valve overhaul procedures, especially aerospace associated equipment.<br /> Ability to work from blueprints and sketches.<br /> Possess required tools.<br /> May require ability to setup and operate carpentry, hand and power tools.<br /> May require working knowledge of national, state and local electrical codes.<br /> May require knowledge of general hydraulics technology, i.e. pumps, cylinders, accumulators, filters, & piping; tube bending, piping fabrication for hydraulic and pneumatic applications.<br /> May require knowledge of chemicals and their characteristics.<br /> May require working knowledge of computer and computer software to operate programs, create reports, and spreadsheets.<br /> May require a Hazardous Material Handling Certificate<br /> Required to lift up to 50 pounds.<br /> May require forklift operator certification.<br /> Must demonstrate effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.<br /> Ability to work with others and be a participative team player.</p> <p> </p>
