Join the Maintenance & Reliability Team at our Caseyville Prepared Foods plant.

Client is currently in the process of expanding our operations in Caseyville with an $181 million dollar investment to add 7 new state of the art production lines to our current 4 production lines. With automated warehousing and robotics at the heart of this expansion the facility will be a Flagship of the Prepared Foods division. The facility currently produces Jimmy Dean and Hillshire branded retail products and the expansion will further develop our capabilities.

 

With around the clock operations we offer a creative schedule for our Maintenance & Reliability Team that provides our team members with the ability to have not only time off during the traditional work week (Mon – Fri) but allows for a 3 day weekend every other week (Fri, Sat, Sun). Crews work in Teams and alternate days to allow for an ideal work / home-life balance. This is a great opportunity to join the team now and have input and influence on the installation and start-up of this equipment.

 

In addition, we offer a $2500 SIGN ON BONUS* --- *$1,250 paid out after 90 days of fulltime employment, additional $1,250 paid out after 180 days!

 

Brief Job Summary:

Installs, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, and electrical systems by performing the essential job functions. Performs limited facility maintenance tasks as required.

 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and SQF Quality Management policies and procedures while performing essential job functions.
  • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic problems with equipment
  • Replace \ Repair broken or worn out parts on Equipment
  • Modify equipment to meet changing manufacturing requirements
  • Install new equipment
  • Perform preventive maintenance on equipment
  • Performs limited masonry work, repairs plumbing fixtures and woodwork.
  • Repairs, maintains and installs electrical systems and fixtures.
  • Measures, cuts, bonds, threads, assembles and installs electrical conduit.
  • Uses hand and power tools. Install new runs of water, steam, and air piping
  • Install new runs of electric to various equipment
  • Maintain the building and grounds
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Essential Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

Minimum of two (2) years of Industrial Maintenance Mechanic work experience (can be a combination of employers) OR be a graduate of an Industrial Maintenance Training Program

 

Required Skills/Attributes:

Problem Sensitivity - The ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. It does not involve solving the problem, only recognizing there is a problem. Arm-Hand Steadiness - The ability to keep your hand and arm steady while moving your arm or while holding your arm and hand in one position. Manual Dexterity - The ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects. Near Vision - The ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer). Oral Comprehension - The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences. Oral Expression - The ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand. Visualization - The ability to imagine how something will look after it is moved around or when its parts are moved or rearranged. Deductive Reasoning - The ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense. Finger Dexterity - The ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects. Inductive Reasoning - The ability to combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions (includes finding a relationship among seemingly unrelated events).

 

Working Conditions:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to do the following:

  • Work near moving mechanical parts.
  • Be exposed to wet or humid conditions; extreme cold; extreme heat.
  • Work where the noise level is usually moderate to high.
  • Required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. 
  • Employee may occasionally be required to lift up to 100 pounds with assistance of other employees.
  • Work from a ladder or a man lift at heights greater than 20 feet Drive a forklift.

 

Work Schedule:
1st shift, some weekend work may be required.
