JOB DESCRIPTION:

**1st shift**Job Characteristics: The primary focus of this role is to perform regularly scheduled preventative maintenance, monthly safety checks, and making repairs and modifications to equipment and facility. Job duties may include working with hydraulics, electrical maintenance and motors, welding, utilities, pumps, compressors, shaft alignments, areas requiring advanced shop math skills and PLC fundamentals. Interfaces with production/logistics supervision to effect safe repairs to equipment to ensure equipment is returned to operations in acceptable condition. Including organizing, coordinating, and maintaining a safe work environment throughout the facility.What You Will Do:• Interface with production/warehouse supervision to effect safe repairs to equipment and ensure that equipment is returned to operations in an acceptable condition• Perform regularly scheduled preventive maintenance and monthly safety checks• Make repairs & modifications to equipment and facilities as scheduled through the work order system• Responsible for completing all paperwork assigned and coordinating with the Reliability Supervisor to ensure data is correct and recorded• Other duties as assignedPosition Details:• Plant location: Chicago, IL• Work week and shift: 40 hours per week with possibility of mandatory overtime.
