Job Profile Summary

Focus on federal and state income tax compliance and tax accounting and will report directly to the Tax Director. Significant amount of responsibilities related to tax accounting functions.

 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Review and manage tax returns, extensions and tax planning calculations
  • Review financial statements for tax adjustments
  • Prepare and review tax planning projections for estimated tax liabilities
  • Prepare and review U.S. and multi-state income tax returns
  • Conduct tax research and prepare memorandums outlining findings and conclusions
  • Respond to IRS and state audits, inquires and tax notices
  • Delegate projects to staff and provide assistance to staff as needed
  • Work with other ONEOK departments to gather data to support tax calculations
  • Maintain tax compliance calendar
  • Assist in preparation or review of monthly tax provisions
  • Assist in preparation or review of tax fixed asset roll forwards
  • Review financial statements for tax adjustments
  • Improve processes by developing and implementing best practices
  • Maintain tax balances on the general ledger system

 

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting. Master in Tax/Accounting, CPA certification, manager experience preferred and/or 7 to 10 years of job related experience in the following:
