This is a full time employment opportunity (Hybrid) and will provide full benefits, Matching 401K and year end bonus incentives. Initially, this resource will need to be on-site.

General Summary of Position:
People leadership and mentorship: Support and guide the team to deliver on large-scale business initiatives. This role will involve management of multiple security engineering teams.
Work directly with Product and the users: Understand the business context for the work the team does, and ensure that we are meeting our customers' needs. Work in collaboration with product management and design to define strategy and requirements. Excellent listening, writing skills and very strong technical competency are essential.
Project execution and delivery: Lead security teams from concept through delivery and subsequent operation. Regularly communicate with senior management on technical development, product strategy, status, and risks.
Complex security services design and engineering: To build these interfaces, we need to solve the meta-problem: how do we architect our solutions to unlock our value across multiple domains.
Ship commercial solutions: Our users have a huge job to do, at massive scale. So, we need to build tremendous, powerful solutions that just work. And, it needs to work 24/7 with no downtime!
ML and Security, in real life: Data and ML is at the core of what we do, and we are operationalizing it so our security teams and our customers can unlock its power. Doing so requires versatile, yet opinionated products - which require versatile, but opinionated engineers.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Develop strategic security product-market fit in concert with Product and Engineering
• Lead a national, distributed team of subject matter expert security professionals and develop a network security practice to reinforce the security engineering team
• Grow the team and actively help shape the culture of open communication, craftsmanship, and ownership
• Encourage best practices in engineering design and usability, leading by example
• Facilitate thorough documentation and knowledge sharing
• Take direct responsibility for quality, delivery, and uptime of the team’s products
• Interact with clients, product managers, and business leaders to gather and understand requirements around security-first products
• Work with the Program Manager of Network Operations to address critical executive escalations for our Managed Security Services
• Develop software tools to automate low level tasks

Required Qualifications:
• We are looking for teammates who share and practice our values: open communication, transparency, taking ownership, and high level of craftsmanship
• Experience designing and implementing complex, scalable security solutions including Fortinet/Palo Alto/Juniper products
• Demonstrated experience managing and leading development teams
• 6+ years of professional experience as a security engineer, 2+ years as a manager
• Strong knowledge and experience with security engineering and system security in production environments
• Experience driving key security initiatives, including hardware security, application security, cryptography, and vulnerability management
• Experience with architectural patterns of large, high-volume applications
• Strong working knowledge of modern software development methodologies, software design patterns, and SDLC
• Proven experience sourcing and hiring top engineering talent
• Shipped multiple projects and services to large scale consumers
