Manufacturing Manager - st Shift Apply
The client is looking for a talented 1st Shift Manufacturing Manager with strong leadership qualities who knows how to motivate employees to focus on quality and deliver on performance expectations. This role is based on-site in our Huntington Beach, CA facility. The hours for this position will be Monday through Friday, full-time from 7 am – 4 pm

- Directs production, assembly, safety, and shipping for maximum efficiencies of equipment, materials, and personnel of the assigned shift.
- Oversees and monitors the budget for manufacturing, including capital expenditures, labor, and headcount.
- Drives continuous improvement and lean transformation to create world-class manufacturing processes with a focus on reducing costs and improving lead times.
- Embodies a safety culture and implements safety initiatives that drive the organization to achieve the goal of zero accidents.
- Ensures organizational policies are implemented to conform to corporate compliance areas including environmental, safety, and product liability.
- Determines current and future manufacturing opportunities that support new technologies and long-term growth in support of the strategic plan.
- Maintains customer, market, product knowledge and understanding. Prepares production for product line changes as required to meet customer and market needs.
- Manages material handling best practices to ensure best-in-class inventory accuracy on an ongoing basis.
- Manages the shipping operation, develops appropriate direct and indirect reports while building leadership skills within the team and improving productivity.
- Develops and promotes a motivated, positive, and collaborative culture in the manufacturing facilities.
- Ensures productive and supportive interaction between departments and shifts.
- Performs additional assignments per supervisor's direction.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently. Spanish bilingual skill is preferred.

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or related field and/or at least seven (7) to ten (10) years of manufacturing experience in rapidly growing businesses.
- At least three (3) years of management level experience in manufacturing operations.
- Experience managing a team of at least 50 employees.
- Strong Lean Manufacturing experience and toolkit.
- Familiarity and experience with ERP, MRP, or WMS systems.
- A successful track record of achieving growth targets, reducing direct/indirect costs while increasing operational efficiency, productivity, and quality.
- Extensive experience with manufacturing process improvement, including budget management, facility enhancement and improvements, cycle time reduction, lead time reduction, workflow enhancements and capacity management planning.
- Ability to manage with KPIs, participation in Capex project, and analyze operating reports to identify opportunities; the ability to summarize monthly operating results and future plans with executive teams and others.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and all Microsoft Office applications.
