Position Summary:

Within the Creative Innovation Studio, the Project Manager (PM) is responsible for the successful creative delivery and project management on a variety of marketing projects and ad-hoc tasks by effectively coordinating project planning, estimates, timelines, budget and communications, and the successful execution of day-to-day activities. The PM is responsible for transforming creative requests into project plans and deliverables across all marketing channels. This role works collaboratively with other creative functions within the centrally-managed team all based in Pittsburgh. Functions include Design, Copywriting, Production, Content, Development and Operations. The PM is the team s point of contact for projects and tasks, managing a diverse variety of projects and delivers on budget, on schedule and with superior customer service and high quality while meeting business objectives and requirements.
As a PM within the Studio, you must be a good communicator, an enthusiastic and proactive problem solver who works well in a team-oriented, collaborative environment and someone who thrives on being engaged at all levels of the project, possessing a sense of ownership, responsibility and accountability to see a project through from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management

  • Work directly with a cross-functional team to understand the business project requests and objectives, gather requirements, understand objectives, define deliverables and delivery dates, plan resources and develop a clear and actionable project plan
  • Review project work requests from the business, in partnership with the creative team, and answer any internal and external questions
  • Provide clear priorities to the team and remove barriers for efficient execution on an ongoing basis
  • Build and maintain clear schedules and manage project business reviews
  • Efficiently and effectively manage day-to-day problems, and communicate effectively in difficult and time sensitive situations. Understand when (and why) to escalate issues.
  • Facilitate meetings, and ensure the team receives clear direction for next steps
  • Recognize Studio specific operational management systems and tools (estimating, financial tracking, time tracking, project timeline applications, etc.) adjusting the tools and resources as required to effectively manage each project
  • Deliver multiple, often concurrent projects: error free, on time or early, on or under budget, all while meeting or exceeding creative objectives and expectations

Relationship Management

  • Proven ability to uphold positive team environments both internal and external
  • Day-to-day creative team point-of-contact for project related tasks, proactively discussing, setting and managing expectations on an ongoing basis throughout a project in partnership with Sr Project Manager, or Account Manager
  • Build strong working relationships with both Studio and business team members, establishing a role as a trusted resource and advisor

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in business, marketing, communications, advertising or related field
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a fast-paced business environment managing multiple projects simultaneously, with a proven ability to use quick-on-your-feet thinking to deliver initiatives, on time and on budget
  • Some experience with project management tool(s) that includes maintenance of key project details, budgets, estimates while managing assignments and schedules for team members a plus
  • Some experience with omni-channel environment: print, digital, presentation, video, etc.
  • Attention to detail is a must
  • Effective negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced collaborative environment
  • A demonstrated track record of gaining trust, consensus and respect by consistently demonstrating conflict resolution and critical thinking skills and maintaining composure in stressful situations
