**Pay Rate:$13**



Material Handler - 1st Shift - Greenville

1st Shift hours: 7am - 3:30pm(MON-FRI)
>>>Mandatory OT (told about in advance) required to come in 30-min prior to shift start

NOTE:
Onsiteinterview / plant tour will be conducted for all positions
Include 1-2 days/time when Candidate is available to interview onsite
Block time offered isMON-THUR: 10:30 am-12noon, 2pm-3pm and FRI:10:30am-12pm
Duration: 15-20 minute with Supervisor

Job Summary:
Provide and arrange component parts for assembly and press personnel at the work stations to avoid any interruptions in their daily assignments, move and transfer material in orderly manner to insure proper flow of service and operations, while complying with current ISO requirements, all safety requirements, and good housekeeping standards.


Roles & Responsibilities:
-Load, unload, and move material within or near the plant yard or work site.

-Read shop order, inventory tracking tickets, and/or receives oral instructions from a supervisor to move material, parts, boxes, drums, etc.
between locations in the plant.

-Constructs or sets up packaging containers.

-Load and unload materials from tables, machines, etc.

-Follows all pertinent safety regulations for self and others.

-Properly utilizes all safety equipment.

-May be required to dispose of scrap in the containers provided and/or move scrap to its proper destination.

-May be required to operate fork lift.

-Be an active participant in maintaining a clean work environment.

-May be required to train any new employee assigned to the area.

Perform other duties as directed by supervisors.

0 Walk the trainee through the entire area they will be servicing informing and showing them each work center including the re-work, quality hold, scrap hold, warehousing staging and shipping staging areas.

0 Show the trainee the staging area at each of the above locations as they will know where to place products being moved into the area
4.
0 Explain the part number system that identifies each part and express the importance of double checking all part numbers before proceeding with any movement of parts.


5.
0 Show the trainee lot and rack locations.

6.
0 Show the trainee where to move the finished and scrap drums of parts.
Emphasize that each drum or skid of parts must contain identification of what it is.

7.
0 Show the trainee where the load capacity limits are noted on the web slings used to transport raw material.
Instruct the trainee to never exceed these capacity limits
8.
0 Explain and demonstrate the proper and safe method for strapping raw material to a boom using the web slings.

9.
0 Explain and show the proper manner to stack raw material to prevent unstableness and the possibility for injuries and damage.


10.
0 Explain to the trainee about garbage pickup in the plant.

11.
0 Explain and show how to perform the forklift checks.

0 Show and explain the information needed on the transfer/tracking tickets and how to fill out.

0 Explain SAP system to look up locations for raw material, hardware and subcomponents.

0 Show the trainee where the scales are located and explain how to use them properly and how to verify scales each morning.

15.
0 Explain to trainee that before moving empty drums or baskets all paperwork/drawings are to be removed and throw away.


Preferred Skills:

Mathematical Skills- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Experience working with consolidations.



Computer Skills:
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have Other Skills and Abilities - Must be detail oriented.
Must be organized and have the ability and drive to meet deadlines and work under pressure.


Required Qualifications:
Must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily and meet the physical demands to successfully perform the essential function of this job.
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or physical ability required.
At CMCs discretion, exceptions to these can be made to accommodate individual circumstances.

Education and/or experience High school diploma or GED preferred.
Employee must be able to perform basic reading, writing and mathematical functions.
Computer knowledge and keyboard skills a plus.


Language Skills:
- Ability to read and write.
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, memorandums and correspondence.
Ability to communicate effectively with others verbally and written.



Reasoning Ability:
- Ability to understand and carry out detailed written and oral instructions.

Certificates, Licenses, Registration Must possess (acquire through training) and maintain fork lift operator certification.


Physical Requirements:
- The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
