Cor-tech is hiring Material Handler's for our client in Northfield, VT. If you are looking to get into a company that make VT products and is growing apply today for your interview.

2nd shift: Pay $17.60, Hours: M-F 2:45PM - 11 PM
3rd shift: Pay $19.20, Hours: Sun night 10:45 PM - Friday at 7 am

Material Handler Responsibilities:
• Provide a comprehensive review and understanding of compliance to OSHA and VOSHA regulations
• Methodically check the spec sheets, production tickets, and yarn status on every machine in each Set to ensure continued production and prevent quality issues.
• Replenish each machine with required yarns by placing cones on the creel in correct positions, and tying on backup cones when necessary.
• Communicate out of stock situations and yarn substitutions to the Knitting Team Leads and production schedulers.
• Assist with sock inspection and machine changeovers when time allows.
• Work with warehouse personnel on out of stock items and arrival date.
• Retrieve urgent material needs for knitting staff.
• Put away excess material found on machines.
• Assist machine change over techs in picking/putting away material.
• Assist material lot change coordinator with lot changes and substitutions.
• Fulfill yarn requests from knitters as needed.
• Fulfill yarn request for R&D as needed
• Backfill Material Handling in the warehouse as needed.
• Perform physical walk through with oncoming shifts.
• Other duties as apply.

Material Handler Qualifications:
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience in manufacturing and warehousing preferred
• Highly responsible & reliable and able to manage confidential information
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment and be on your feet 8 to 9 hours a day.
• Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
• Ability to be professional and courteous at all times
• Ability to lift 50lbs repetitively.
• Ability to differentiate between shades of color.
• Attention to detail and focus on quality a must.
• Ability to cross train in knitting and flexibility a must.
• Experience with computers and RF scanning practices.
• Forklift experience preferred.

Material Handler Working Conditions:
• Manufacturing environment – exposure to machinery, noise and other adverse conditions for limited periods of time depending on the role

• Occasional travel on as needed basis


Material Handler Experience:
• Mechanical knowledge: 2 years (Required)
• Manufacturing: 2 years (Preferred)
