JOB DESCRIPTION:

Duties: The main purpose of this position is to assist in all tasks associated with the production of Marek's poultry vaccines and master these tasks. Duties & Responsibilities: Employee must train on all aspects of media production. Utilizes sterile technique at all times. Work under laminar flow hoods and HEPA filtered environment. Communicate any occurrence to mentor /team leader and/or supervisor immediately. Responsible for keeping the lab area clean and sterile at all times. Individual must insure these activities are completed accurately and in a timely manner. Works cooperatively with mentor in training. Training is vital to performance and should be considered a priority. Maintains accurate and timely manufacturing records, this includes all paperwork and files. Actively promotes safety and awareness in the lab, always acting in occurrence with safety practices. Performs other duties as assigned. **May not own or have contact with other birds or poultry.**

Skills: Self-motivated. Ability to think ahead to next task. Ability to work well under time constraints. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and carry it a distance of 10 ft., as well as push / pull. Must be able to squat, bend, and stoop, as well as twisting and turning. Manual dexterity and visual acuity are important. Must be able to stand on feet for long periods of time and work in a sterile production environment. Must be flexible with availability (able to work overtime as needed on short notice). This position requires weekend work. Regular attendance is a must.

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent Production and/or lab experience preferred Monday 5 am to 3:30 pm Tuesday 5 am to 2:20 pm Wednesday 5 am to 1:30 pm Thursday 5 am to 1:30 pm Friday 5 am to 10:00 am End times will usually run longer to finish processes.
