Skills/Requirements Good understanding of Web Content and Mobile App Accessibility Standards and Laws. Knowledge of WCAG 2.0/2.1 Guidelines and certification preferably. Minimum 4+ years of work experience with 6 months to 1 year of hands-on experience in testing consumer Mobile apps to ensure conformance to WCAG 2.0 Level A/AA, Section 508. 2+ years Mobile app UI Test automation experience (e.g. Cypress, Protractor, Selenium). Proficient in understanding and authoring test strategies and plans for WAI-ARIA. Proficient in carrying out comprehensive Accessibility testing of Mobile applications including keyboard navigation, screen readers and colour contrast tools. Working knowledge of tools like AXE, WAT, Chromevox, Androvox, WAVE, AChecker, Google Accessibility Scanner. Expertise in Test script development, execution, and debugging. Experience building test scripts using existing automation frameworks. Experience building/ enhancing automation frameworks. Exposure to continuous integration (Jenkins/CicleCI). Ability to work with Developers, Product Owners, to understand Accessibility requirements, implementation details to come up with detailed Accessibility manual/automation test strategies. Have Strong manual testing skills, analytical and problem solving skills. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Responsibilities Define Mobile app Accessibility test scenarios and test conditions and develop detailed Accessibility test plans. Develop an Accessibility automation roadmap and helps initiate the right framework and maintain the overall automation suite. Empower the project test teams to do their own automation with the help of the right Accessibility tools and strategies. Work with Operations to integrate automated tests into the deployment pipeline. Work closely with the Regression team, BAs, and Product to identify gaps in automation coverage . Debug issues identified through automation and work with the development teams to document and resolve these issues.
