NC Machinist Apply
Cor-Tech is hiring a Direct Hire Machinist for our client in Williston, VT on days.
Pay $24.75 - 26.56 per hour.
Hours are Monday - Friday 7am -3:30pm.
NC Machinist
Primary Function: To perform all turning, milling, drilling, boring, and threading operations on 2 and 3 axis NC equipment in an acceptable manner within drawing tolerances while meeting production standards with minimal instruction. Working from production orders, QCIs, drawings, and other written instructions the operator must be willing to operate any NC equipment of up to 3 axis to acceptable standards as assigned by management. Management will provide orientation on individual machine operation as necessary.
Job Requirements:
* Minimum 2 years’ experience on 2 or 3 axis NC equipment with proven knowledge of NC formats and conventions
* Strong knowledge of shop math
* Strong knowledge of drawing conventions
* Demonstrated ability to understand and operate various NC systems and controls.
* Able to use various inspection equipment necessary to ensure that work performed is within drawing tolerances.
* Able to tool prove new programs make edits in NC programs to enable job to go into production.
* Maintain control of NC equipment in automatic mode, Manual Data Input (MDI) mode, or manual mode.
* High school diploma or GED
