JOB DESCRIPTION:

Pediatric Echo Tech - Performs neonatal, pediatric, fetal and adult congenital echocardiograms on inpatients and outpatients *Performs all types of pediatric, neonatal, fetal and adult congenital echocardiograms referred by physicians, including calculations and documentation of cardiac parameters for inclusion in appropriate report forms. *Participates in call rotation and travel assignments throughout the state. *Maintains and documents communications with physician and nursing units regarding test results. *Assists with employee schedules for staffing to include call as deemed by Supervisor. *Attends section staff meetings and/or pertinent in-services, workshops, and seminars. *Assists with section clerical duties including initiation and completion of reports and charges. *Assists in cleaning, maintaining, and making purchase order recommendations for equipment and supplies for the unit. *Learns and uses computerized patient information systems. *Participates in and endorses the established PHS Policies and Procedures and guest relations programs. *Performs other functions as required. Other Information High school diploma required. When submitting candidates include at least two references (one must be from current manager), a resume, and completed skills checklist/competency assessment.13 weeks assignment, 2 years' experience in current specialty required. Must be a team player, flexible and accustomed to fast paced environment. Must have successfully completed at least one 13-week travel assignment. The individual must demonstrate skills necessary to function in the Echo lab. Candidate must have advanced knowledge in basic knowledge of imaging equipment. Candidate must be able to work cohesively with other team members.Candidate must have credentials and NM state licensing (medical Imaging or Radiation Therapy). Please visit the link below. If a copy or the original is not provided your traveler will be taken off of the schedule and guaranteed hours will not apply. There is an attachment of the application form on this posting as well. The fee is $110 (responsibility of the traveler or agency).CERTIFICATIONS: RDCS (PE), CCI Registry, RCS, BLS/BCLS certifications required. BLS must be completed through American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross. EPIC EMR experience preferred.SHIFTS: 8 hour days - Shifts may fluctuate to fulfill department staffing needs. On call, weekends and holidays may be required. Travelers are first to float within facility and to alternate locations within 20 miles of permanent assigned location. Traveling pairs are not guaranteed same schedules or same shifts. Experience: Two to three years of pediatric cardiac Float - Yes could be asked to cover outreach clinics On Call requirements: Yes they could be asked to cover call at PH & Lovelace Women'sFORIENTATION: 1st week of the contract, not to exceed 40 total hours, and includes EPIC training.
