Education/Certification: Required: Bachelors of Science degree in nursing or a healthcare field Preferred: Master's degree in nursing or healthcare, businessWork Experience:Required: Minimum of 2 years' experience in healthcare in a management position Preferred: Previous experience working in quality Knowledge / Skills / Abilities: Requires critical thinking skills Working collaboratively with a variety of professional an non-professional staff internal and external to the organization Ability to work independently without direct supervision Ability to manage multiple priorities, knowledge of healthcare regulation, knowledge of DNV standards Knowledge of data collection methods, analysis and presentation Knowledge of best practice, excellent interpersonal communication and negotiations skills Administrative/Supervision functions Performs statistical analysis and data analysis Investigates, monitors, document and report on quality of care and service issues Facilitates required Quality committees Adheres to all organizational policies, procedures standards and practicesQuality/Compliance/Regulatory Develops and implements quality improvement activities and policies Responsible for oversight activities related to the hospital wide quality improvement program including coordination of medical staff peer review, root cause analysis, FMEA, data submission to CMS, submission of NYPORTS cases to DOH, corrective action plan from regulatory agency surveys, serves as the management review representative for DNV-NIAHO standards Other duties as assigned
