Job Description Job Title: Nurse Manager Pay Grade: 14 Reports to: Director Department/Job Code: 1541 FLSA Status: OSHA Exposure Level: Job SummaryThe Nurse Manager provides operational oversight to his/her Care Units. This position has 24-hour accountability and responsibility for providing quality patient care and outcomes in the departments. Performs all duties and responsibilities in accordance to the established FMC policies, procedures and guidelines. The candidate will successfully complete competencies for this position.Job QualificationsEducation: Registered Nurse with Bachelors Science Nursing (BSN) required. Masters in Nursing or healthcare related degree preferred. Specialty certification in field of expertise or in nursing management preferred. Experience: Require minimum of 5 years clinical experience in the Emergency Department. 3 years of nursing management/supervisory experience required. Job-related Skills: Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills; ability to problem-solve and facilitate resolution to issues; demonstrates ability to handle multiple priorities; ability to make independent decisions. Promotes an effective employee relations and communications program7. Creates a patient/family centered care environment.8. Fosters strong physician relationships9. Participates and provides support to the Center's strategic initiatives.10. Enhances positive relations with all customers.11. Maintains a financial budget by preparing and managing Operating and Capital budgets.12. Demonstrates the ability to respond to circumstances so as to maximize the opportunities and minimize any problems.13. demonstrates knowledge and compliance with all governing bodies.14. Performs other duties as assigned.
