JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Operations Project Consultant role supports Mortgage & Vehicle Servicing Operations Modification Fulfillment Group.

The responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Conducting analysis on process and technology issues affecting Loan Modifications.
  • Extracts information from various data stores via SQL queries to analyze root cause, create and test corrective action
  • Participates in the design, development and implementation of complex products, systems and services in an operations environment
  • Manages projects of an operations nature and functions as the technical expert in their assigned area
  • Possesses in-depth understanding of the business unit's operations processes and implications on other groups within the operations function and other divisions within the company
  • Coordinates the implementation of loan modification programs and operational solutions.
  • Maintains subject matter expertise for platform functionality (including technical), product rules and regulations
  • May participate in testing and project work including designing, documenting, implementing, monitoring of new loan modification programs or changes.

  • Demonstrated experience with full lifecycle of implementing new processes, including technology, from analysis and design through implementation and sustainment.
  • Experience with SQL including ability to write queries
  • Strong analytic skills with ability to analyze data to drive differentiated performance.
  • Strong desire to learn and develop with demonstrated ability to solving problems using creativity and critical thinking.
  • Natural curiosity and drive to answer important business questions.
  • High aptitude for self-motivation and self-determined project work.
  • Able to collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs, problems, and aligns them on priorities.
  • Works in partnership with the team to ensure that optimum value is obtained through technology and through an advanced understanding of the business.
  • Highly proficient in usage of SharePoint document repositories; Excel, PowerPoint and all other Microsoft applications.
  • Self-starter, organized, versatile, capable of performing work independently with minimal direction.
  • Demonstrated ability to interface effectively with senior management.

Desired Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Risk management, Compliance and /or Audit experience.
  • Understanding of the governing Consumer regulations Z, B, AA, E, etc.
  • Familiarity with mortgage products and mortgage servicing.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills; can quickly adjust from being succinct to driving a deep dive discussion.
  • Audit or Compliance background.
