The Prime Brokerage Operations Analyst plays an integral role in the support of hedge fund / professional trading group clients and our institutional trade desks. The position includes providing operational support to the BU and Clients directly on reporting and trade research.   Responsibilities include, but aren't limited to: Providing status of all trades for client which are Unaffirmed by the contra party, providing detailed statuses of all failing trades and conduct research in regards to reclaims, erroneous trade bookings and settlements.  Other responsibilities include internal reconciliation and fail research of all broker to broker transactions, following up with clients/contra brokers directly to resolve aged fails, providing settlement status to clients intra-day, and performing / presenting client metrics analysis. The role includes interaction with the Front Office Business Unit and other internal support departments such as Trade Processing, Settlement, Corporate Actions and Operations Risk management.    Required Skills: (Must have these skills to be minimally qualified) Ability to multi-task and operate under high pressure situations. Strong PC and Microsoft skills (Excel, Word, Access, etc.). Excellent communication skills both verbal and written. Interpersonal skills must be very strong and team player. Must have a keen ability to efficiently manage time and priorities. Must be able to bring proactive and innovative business processing solutions to completion within deadlines and with minimal risk to the organization.    Desired Skills: Prior prime brokerage operations experience.   Other Qualifications: Strives to bring new thoughts and ideas to teams in order to drive innovation and unique solutions. Excels in working among diverse viewpoints to determine the best path forward. Experience in connecting with a diverse set of clients to understand future business needs – is a continuous learner. Commitment to challenging the status quo and promoting positive change. Uses established techniques to analyze and resolve complex operations support problems/initiatives requiring exception handling and/or coordination of multiple operational and/or product/services specialists to resolve. May assist in managing projects and/or introduction of new initiatives, systems, products and services and processes coordination across multiple operations functions. Employees will have college degree (Associates or higher) or comparable work experience. Required skills include: expert Excel knowledge, detail orientation, ability to manage multiple priorities and multi task, excellent time management and prioritization skills, with ability to meet tight deadlines, ability and willingness to continuously learn on the job, ability to problem-solve and take ownership of process improvements, ability to work in a team environment, excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate with various stakeholders. Desired skills include: Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or similar major preferred and a basic understanding of and/or experience in financial service industry.
