Oracle Database Administrator
<p>We are seeking a senior-level Database Administrator to provide management and maintenance of Oracle databases including RAC. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 10 years of experience with managing and supporting Oracle databases in Unix environments and a total of 15+ years in IT. The candidate should be able to formulate policy, procedures and standards related to database management. The candidate should be a self-starter, have excellent communication skills and work seamlessly in a team environment as well as independently.<br /><br /><b>Skills</b><br />Implements and maintains smooth operation and physical design of databases. Conducts performance tuning of indexes and databases in general. Reviews database design and integration of systems, provides backup recovery and makes recommendations regarding enhancements and/or improvements. Maintains security and integrity controls. Formulates policies, procedures, and standards relating to database management, and monitors transaction activity and utilization. May develop stored procedures.<br /><br /><b>Experience</b><br />• Extensive experience with Oracle 19c Multi-Tenant Architecture and database infrastructure design on RAC Databases</p> <p>• Extensive experience as an Oracle administrator including the management, maintenance, configuration, and optimization of the database platform</p> <p>• Ability and experience with the development of processes and procedures to standardize Database installations and configuration</p> <p>• Experience in cloning databases in a Multi-Tenant environment utilizing Containers and Pluggable databases</p> <p>• Experience automating, scripting, and streamlining processes for efficiency and accuracy by utilizing Unix shell scripting or other scripting tools</p> <p>• Broad experience in the art of performance tuning, utilizing OEM or third-party tools to finely tune objects and partitions in Oracle 19c</p> <p>• Extensive experience with implementation and maintenance of Disaster Recovery environments using Data Guard Experience with capacity planning, maintenance, and optimization of the database environments</p> <p>• Comprehensive understanding of Oracle backup methodologies, their implementation via GUI as well as scripts. Experience with setup and scheduling of RMAN backups as well as successful database restores.</p> <p>• Strong experience with Red Hat Linux Operating Systems</p> <p>• Experience with the development of architectural and functional process diagrams for Oracle database services</p> <p>• Experience monitoring alert logs, OEM and system alerts, acting on the results.</p> <p>• Ability and experience with the development of processes and procedures to standardize Database installations and configuration.</p> <p>• Experience applying quarterly database CPU, PSU, SPU and BP patches.</p> <p>• Participate in rotational 24 x 7 on-call Production support.</p> <p>• Excellent communication, presentation, and customer relationship skills</p> <p>• Ability to work on unusually complex technical problems and provide solutions that are highly innovative and ingenious</p> <p>• Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment</p> <p>• "Can-do" attitude, proactive and resourceful.<br /><br /><b>Education</b><br />o 21+ Years with HS 17+ Years with AA 15+ Years with BS 13+ Years with MS 10+ Years with PhD<br /> </p>
