ORDER MANAGEMENT INTERN

POSITION PURPOSE/MISSION:
Gain exposure to internal operations at Client Gas & Steam Turbine components manufacturing facility through hands on experience in understanding manufacturing & engineering fundamentals, Order Management, SAP transactions, data analysis, and other areas of the company.
This will be a full-time position which will require to be physically present in the Facility per Client Health and Safety Guidelines.


Position Overview:
Data entry of incoming customer orders and inquires in SAP, monitor & manage orders from processing phase through delivery/invoice.
Maintain order releases and initiate SAP maintenance for MM’s (material master) where needed.

Responsibilities:
• Create and maintain sales/shop orders in SAP
• Monitor progress of in-production components to ensure on time delivery per
Client quality standards
• Maintain excel spreadsheets to track progress of active orders
• Run SAP reports to track progress of active orders
• Attend/Participate in regular Production status meetings and ensure any open action items are addressed/resolved in a timely manner
• Create deliveries through SAP for completed components and communicate to concerned parties
• Learn and apply knowledge gathered through hands on experience in manufacturing & engineering
• Research pricing, procurement status, material master data integrity discrepancies
• Supports & responds to requests from other Service Order Management Team Members and attend team meetings
• Adhere to all Client Environment, Health and Safety Guidelines

Accountabilities:
• Timely response within given tight timeframes
• High accuracy of data output
• Optimization of reporting methods
• Timely processing of customer orders and inquiries • Drive timely input from all stakeholders
• Identification of process shortfalls to enable fast counter measures

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:
• Minimum of Junior Level college student towards a BS in Industrial Engineering & Management Systems or related fields
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP) would be beneficial but isn’t required
• Extensive MS Excel experience including macro and pivot creation, good MS standard software knowledge
• Very good communication skills, Networking skills, attention to details, autonomous work habits, team player
• No travel required

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:
• Fluent in English (written/verbal)
• Communication – demonstrate ability to work effectively with cross-functional work
groups, both verbally and in writing. Excellent listening skills.
• Creativity – generate original ideas, encourage new ways of thinking, explore options, and develop innovative solutions.
