PMO/Project Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Define the vision of the PMO function with "initial" focus on Sales & Marketing Technology but to expand into other areas
  • A storyteller who can clearly articulate the project vision, help define product roadmaps with clarity and highlight risk as necessary
  • Create and continuously streamline Program and Project Management standards for IT initiatives
  • Establish and facilitate project life cycle tracking and project success metrics
  • Prepare and present project information and task details to project team members and executive leadership
  • Determine team structure and identify skill gaps to be effective in resolving risks
  • Develops and maintains positive working relationships across the firm
  • Establish the book of work and drive prioritization of the project list

Desired Candidate Profile:

  • 10+ years of project/program management with at least 5 years within a technology organization within an Asset Management firm
  • Experience in establishing a PMO , creating/ improving Program and Project Management methods and standards
  • Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals.
  • Accountability and willingness to be pro-active in learning and improving the quality of deliverables and efficiency of processes.
  • Experience leading large cross-functional programs and projects
  • Strong understanding of Project Management Methodology, experience implementing Agile Scrum or Kanban techniques
  • Experience transforming teams through technology, organization, culture, process, and business change management through adoption/training.
  • Experience interacting with all levels of the organization
  • Ability produce quality materials within tight timelines and simultaneously manage several projects
  • Excellent story-telling and communication skills
  • Masters/Bachelor's degree required

Skills:

  • Proficiency in project management software tools (Jira, Confluence).
  • Experience working in Microsoft office specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and the ability to modify queries.
  • Familiar with different programming languages and their uses.
