Chemical handling experience;
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
• Operate processing equipment.
o Set-up equipment ensuring operations are consistent with current operating procedures. Equipment includes automated/manual bottle and bag filling equipment, disinfection equipment, sampling equipment, conveyors, and packaging equipment.
o Identify malfunctions in equipment operation and with appropriate approval take corrective actions, such as reconfiguring equipment, adjustment of set points or adjusting operating parameters.
o Report equipment failures and work with repair personnel to correct problems.
• Perform production operations
o Set-up and prepare products according to current manufacturing procedures
o Perform filling and packaging operations per current production process and procedures.
o Be able to aseptically gown and fill products in an aseptic quality manner.
o Be able to perform environmental monitoring of controlled rooms.
o Be able to operate mixers, lifts, and PLC for equipment in the preparation and dispense of products
o Transport chemicals and equipment to and from processes including use of pumps/piping, fork trucks, pallet jacks or dollies.
o Ensure quality and quantity of product throughout production process.
o Wear appropriate PPE for production processes which may include full face respirators, gloves, suits
o Setup and perform required automatic and manual cleaning or disinfection cycles for equipment and processes.
o Clean-up equipment and working areas after production operations
o Coordinate appropriate disposal of waste and complete compliance documentation.
• Communicate and document status of processes, products, and equipment.
o Communicate the status of production operations/equipment and bring deviations to the attention of supervisor.
o Provide a complete and accurate batch record at the conclusion of production operations consistent with quality guidelines.
o Be able to enter hours worked and raw materials used into SAP
o Ensure all applicable log books have been filled out completely as required by current procedures
