JOB DESCRIPTION :
Cor-Tech International has an immediate opening for a Pay-Off and Assumption Specialist in the Richmond area. This position processes the timely and accurate preparation of certificate of satisfactions according to investor, state and/or county guidelines, orders original documents from custodians, processes collateral files, and all instruments as they are received from the custodians. Complete all assigned reports as required in a timely and accurate manner, assist department with special projects as assigned by management. Participates in the maintenance of departmental policies and procedures, and effectively communicates with internal and external customers. This position performs functions with minimal supervision and is capable of resolving and/or escalating complex issues to management as needed. The Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities for this position are:

Lien Releases – 90%
Generate certificates of satisfaction, cover sheets and adhere to special instructions according to each individual locality by ordering original loan documents from custodian process external research requests of corrections to security instruments and/or old unreleased liens as well as short sale files received from claims area. Create Walz postal labels for consolidation of mailing packets to cut down on expense; group mailing of releases going to same destination. Review and compile documentation in loan program files for imaging. Respond to internal and external email and/or fax inquiries through as well as verbal communication; provides information in courteous and professional manner while adhering to Virginia Housing guidelines.

Loan Account Maintenance – 10%
Establish and maintain loan account records; includes name, address, and other status changes. Ensure paid in full tracking maintenance is updated on all portfolio loan’s sent to the clerk of court’s office for recordation.

Must have extensive working knowledge of Black Knight/MSP Servicing Platform. Also must have strong written skills and demonstrated ability to have positive interaction with peers and management and to work across departmental lines. Candidates need to have strong organizational, documentation and analytical skills.

Candidates must also be able to establish and maintain positive working relationships with others, both internally and externally, to achieve the goals of the authority, and must be a collaborative team player when working with clients. Must strive to provide excellent customer service, and must maintain a positive and professional demeanor while meeting multiple deadlines

Education: High School Diploma required. A.A. degree or equivalent vocational/technical training, is preferred.

Experience: Several years’ originations experience, and lien release and pay-off process experience. Knowledge of real estate lands records and processing.
