JOB DESCRIPTION :
Payroll Specialist needed for a contract to hire position in Tempe, AZ (working remote for the time being)

Whether you are an experienced financial analyst or a new college graduate, we have a position that allows you to gain valuable experience and make an impact. An ideal finance candidate will have an analytical mind and the ability to produce detailed financial reports. Value is placed on both written and verbal communication skills, as some teammates may have the opportunity to present at the executive level.

What you’ll be doing:
• Ability to organize, prioritize and meet deadlines with an accurate attention to detail while working with frequent interruptions and minimum supervision.
• Ability to perform high-volume detailed work with accuracy, to assume responsibility, to independently make sound fact-based decisions for daily tasks; to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) and to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with teammates and outside agencies.
• Complete appropriate changes to employees direct deposits, taxes changes, benefit changes, etc.; investigates questionable forms prior to processing.
• Creates payroll submission by uploading and modifying batches in ADP.
• Validates accuracy of biweekly and/or semi monthly payroll submissions using standardized processes, auditing pre reporting, and reviewing preview reporting prior to final payroll manager review.
• Work with ADP to ensure payroll is successful and to resolve variances.
• Perform other unscheduled payroll transactions including: preparation of manual checks for terminations or other approved reasons, reversals, and voided checks.
• Respond to teammate inquiries regarding salaries, wages, deductions and benefits and tactfully address complaints and make payroll adjustments as needed.
• Collaborates with HR department to resolve issues and improve processes.
• Run standard audit reports each payroll using excel to compare difference in rates, status, departments, and other critical between our internal systems.
• Responsible for bringing compliance issues to the attention of Management.
• Perform other related duties, as assigned, to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the department.

What you’ll need to join Insight:
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Minimum 2 years’ experience within a payroll specialist/admin role.
• Experience with payroll tax and garnishments preferred.
