  1. Position: Systems Administrator

Location: Brunswick, NJ (onsite HYBRID role) = looking for locals

Duration: 4+++ (contract to hire)
Rate: $40/HR on w2

IT Experience: 2-10+ = target = JR TO MID-LEVEL RESOURCE

Visa: USC or GC

Mode of interview: Phone / zoom

Industry: Home Building Manufacturer

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of systems by monitoring performance, recording of system downtime and equipment inventory.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues.
  • Stays current with technological developments in system administration technology and recommend advancement in the technology stack.
  • Develop new system and application implementation plans, custom scripts, and testing procedures to ensure operational reliability.
  • Develop procedures to maintain security and protect systems from unauthorized use, acts of nature and user abuse.
  • Lead problem-solving efforts often involving outside vendors and other support personnel and/or organizations.
  • Install, modify, and maintain system and utility software on server computer systems.
  • Perform routine and scheduled audits of all systems, including backups.
  • Assume additional related responsibilities as required.

Skills:

  • Knowledge of cloud platforms including Azure and AWS services.
  • Knowledge of backup, storage, and replication.
  • Skills in collaboration tools to include Microsoft Teams and Zoom.
  • Strong understanding of server platforms including Windows, VMWare, Linux.
  • Knowledge of O365 administrative management including polices and user access.
  • Knowledge of security practices for EDR, disk encryption.
  • Skills in managing Active Directory including deploying AD security policies.
  • Knowledge of IAM flows, services to include MFA, SSO, and Zero Trust methodologies.
  • Basic understanding of industry standard cyber security strategies and systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related experience disciplines.
  • Relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement on a year for year basis.
  • 5+ years’ work experience with enterprise systems design, programming, and support.
  • Knowledge of scripting utilizing PowerShell and other industry standard tools.
  • Effective project management techniques.
  • Ability to plan, organize and document complex system design activities effectivel
