Pay rate - $20/hr
Monday - Friday
12:30pm - 6:30pm


POSITION SUMMARY:
The Photometric Test Technician is responsible for set-up of test samples, logging test data, monitoring testing, troubleshooting testing and suspicious test data, and reporting completed test results. This position is part of a NVLAP accredited area and will perform testing in accordance with prescribed test protocols. This position also interacts with various engineering teams as the customer.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Set-up and perform testing per the test schedule
Ensure test sample and accessories are correctly handled throughout testing
Administrative and Staff Support:
Collection of test data
Compile test data into test reports
Interaction with Test Request database

Quality Activities:
Ensure tests are performed in accordance with defined test method work instructions
Ensures that equipment is properly handled, stored, and maintained to protect the integrity of calibration or service,
Ensures test data is properly collected
Ensures required NVLAP documentation is completed
Participates in area quality audits
Reports any identified test sample quality issues to area test engineer prior to testing

Maintenance and Housekeeping Activities:
Follows all area Safety rules
Maintains the integrity of the product test sample throughout the testing process
Maintains area Housekeeping to include the area, testing fixtures, tools, and equipment
Minor equipment maintenance may be expected

Education, Experience, and Qualification:
Associate degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Photometric engineering or applied science program preferred
Min. 2 years in a lab testing environment, preferred
Requires competency in MS Word and Excel
Requires excellent communication skills, verbal and written
Requires customer service interaction skills
Requires general knowledge and experience using hand tools and power tools
Requires up to 50 lb. lifting and installation of product test sample on test equipment
